Who we are
This website is operated by Catalyst Labs (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the information described below. You can reach us at any time at hello@catalystlabs.dev.
What we collect
We collect only what you hand us and what a web server records in the course of serving a page.
- Enquiries. When you submit the contact form we receive your name, email address, and — if you choose to give them — your company, the kind of work you are looking for, an indicative budget and the message you wrote.
- Email. If you write to us directly, we hold that correspondence in our mailbox in the ordinary way.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical details of requests — IP address, user agent, the page requested and the time — to serve the site, keep it available and identify abuse.
We do not run advertising trackers, and this site sets no cookies of its own. We do not ask for, and have no use for, special category data.
Why we use it
- To answer you. An enquiry is used to reply to that enquiry and to carry on the conversation it starts. Our basis for this is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and, where a project follows, taking steps to enter into a contract with you.
- To keep the site working. Server logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in the security and availability of the service.
We will not use your details to send you marketing you did not ask for, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
Who else sees it
Only the providers that make the site run, and only to the extent they must:
- Our hosting provider, which serves this site and generates the server logs described above.
- Our email provider, through which enquiries reach us and our replies leave.
- Our internal enquiry tooling, where a submitted form is delivered so that it is not lost in a mailbox.
These providers act on our instructions. We may also disclose information where the law requires it. Some of them operate outside your country; where that involves an international transfer, it is made under the safeguards that apply to that provider.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as the conversation is live and for up to two years afterwards, so that we can pick up a thread that resumes later. Server logs are kept for a short period set by our hosting provider, typically measured in weeks. Where a project goes ahead, the records that belong to that engagement are kept for as long as we are required to keep business records.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object, and we will stop unless we have a compelling reason not to.
Ask by writing to hello@catalystlabs.dev. We will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you are entitled to complain to your local data protection authority.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies and uses no browser storage for tracking. If that changes — if we add product analytics, for instance — we will update this page and ask for consent where consent is required.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when what we do changes. The date at the top is the date of the current version; material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
Contact
Questions about any of the above go to hello@catalystlabs.dev, and a person will answer them.
